You haven`t invested in a mobile app, so you assume you can`t send push notifications to your users. Or you still have trouble re-engaging your users from your current app/website and you think you already have tried everything. Well, you are wrong: Things have changed with Web Push Notifications!
What exactly is Web Push and what does it do?
Web Push Notification enables the power of push messages for websites, only better: now visitors who come to your website can opt-in to receive notifications on their mobile and/or desktop devices. They also don`t have to download or install anything, by just clicking ‘Allow’ they are subscribed. In the following screenshot, you can see how this notification appears on your users` devices.
Let`s take a visual journey into Netmera Web Push Campaigns and its capabilities to give you a better understanding of the topic.
Web Push with Netmera
Netmera is a mobile and web engagement platform which helps you create a wide range of omni-channel marketing campaigns. Moreover, the platform allows digital marketers to have easy access to advanced campaigns, analytics and reporting features. Let’s have a closer look!
Getting Started: Creating a Web Push Campaign
From the Messages section of the Netmera panel, you can easily access the Campaigns sub-section (images below), and from there, you can select Create New Campaign.
Create New Campaign will lead you to Setup section from where you can access Netmera`s various Omni-Channel campaign options. You can select WebPush from the options and also set your Campaign Name in addition to the Platforms you would like to send your Web Push through. (Currently, Web Push is available on Chrome and IOS Browsers. Firefox and Windows will be implemented soon)
You can either proceed with `Save and Continue` or click `What` Button to access where you can set up all the message details for your Web Push campaign.
What message are you sending?
In the `What` section, your Web Push Message will be typed in Notification Message box (above). Netmera Platform also enables you to send a personalised message to each individual user. You can easily turn it on from the Personalized Message button and send your customers tailored messages.
After you enter your Web Push Message Title, Push URL and Image URL (Chrome only), your message will appear on your users` screens like this:
Who are you sending your message to?
Now it`s time to determine Who you will send your Web Push notifications to. Do you want to send this campaign only to a selection of users? Not a problem, Netmera platform enables you to choose your audience by Selection Users or Selecting Distribution Lists, or you can simply send your Web Push messages to all of your users. You can also see the number of target users and their device details in this section (below).
When do you want to send your message?
Timing when contacting users is very important for Digital Marketers. You can have customers worldwide and it is crucial for you to engage them in appropriate times. Netmera Platform meets the needs of reaching the users according to their local time zones, or cancelling the Push Notification when a user is not reachable for a period of time. Netmera platform also allows you to send your messages in packages in order to prevent too much traffic your website can`t handle.
Ready to Send?
In the last step `Go`, you are ready to send your Web Push messages. In this screen, you can see the summary of your Web Push Campaign and easily edit the components from the Change options under each section and go back to where you need some changes.
