When it comes to mobile engagement, a deep personalisation of all marketing campaigns through advanced segmentation and a tailored automation is the key to success.
Our proficient users always pursue ways to get the context of their users right so that their push notifications serve them best. We have added two new capabilities to our segmentation and automation products to support sophisticated behavioral targeting scenarios. These new features will make it easier, for our customers, to build effective campaigns and increase user engagement and retention.
What are the changes we are talking about?
A New Automation Scenario
It is now possible to automatically trigger messages after something happens multiple times. Here is a scenario: many apps request app reviews from their customers after they used it. However, it might take a while before app users can provide their feedback, let’s says 5 app opens. It is now possible to trigger your app review request at the 5th time your users open the app. Another possible use of this feature is the following: let’s say that you want to reward the 3rd purchase a customer finalises through your app. You can now automatically send a push notification with a reward (for example a promotional code for the next purchase) right after a user bought the third product from your app.
You can reach this feature by clicking on the Create Automated Campaign button and then by choosing the goal Handle Special User Action
AND/OR combination for Segmentation
This update adds a lot of value to the segmentation process. Before this update, Netmera users could use either “AND” or “OR” option while combining customers tags and behaviours in order to create a segment. From now on, it is possible to use both AND and OR functionalities at the same time, as shown by the following image.
For example, you can now create a segment of users who have a specific location (as a Tag) AND purchased Brand X OR Brand Y (as possible alternative Behaviours). You can reach this feature from Segments menu and Create Segment tab.
